I’m Francisca Mendez, MSN-Ed, RN, an emergency and urgent care nurse and educator with a passion for helping the next generation of nurses grow in skill, confidence, and purpose. Over the years, I’ve worked at the bedside in fast-paced ER and urgent care settings, while also serving as a mentor to students, new graduates, and transitioning nurses.

I founded The Nurse Rooted Co. out of a desire to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice. My mission is to provide mentorship, education, and resources that empower nurses to step into their roles with clarity and confidence, whether they’re preparing for clinicals, navigating their first year in practice, or exploring new career paths.

Beyond nursing, I’m a wife, mom of two wonderful daughters, and a dog lover with a busy but joy-filled home in Lakeland, Florida. My life is rooted in family, community, and the belief that when nurses feel supported, they can flourish, and so can the patients and communities they serve.
